Growing up watching cooking shows, Becca developed a love for food and cooking through the joy of family meals prepared by her mother. Initially learning through YouTube videos, she eventually enrolled in a culinary program, which inspired her to pursue her culinary dreams on MasterChef. Becca has managed to stand out in the competition with her inventive creations, such as a Chocolate 'Turtle' Lava Cake that earned her a white apron and praise from the judges.
Kamay, a 34-year-old attorney from Washington, D.C., competes in the Millennial group, and she brings the sharpness and analytical skills from her legal career into the kitchen, focusing on creating smart, soul-nourishing dishes. Raised in a Haitian-American household, Kamay developed a deep appreciation for vibrant, flavorful cuisine and aims to showcase her cultural heritage by blending traditional Haitian recipes with contemporary twists. During the competition, she stood out in the Mystery Box challenge with her Crispy Chicken Thigh served with Haitian Red Bean Sauce, White Rice, and Pickled Fresno Chilis & Red Onions. By giving a modern twist to a traditional Haitian dish, she showcased her creativity and dedication to her culinary roots, making a strong impression on the judges.
