MASTERCHEF: GENERATIONS RETURNS

After an Olympic break, MasterChef: Generations returns on Wednesday 14th August with a Birthday Bakes challenge.

The chefs turn to their baking skills when tasked with making a celebratory birthday cake. Later, the chefs work in teams to create a dish using a mystery box filled with different food items from their generation in the all-new “Birthday Bakes/Memory Lane - Mystery Box” two-part episode of MasterChef: Generations airing Wednesday, August 14 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Birthday Bakes

The first show this week kicked off with the "Birthday Bakes" episode - an individual challenge that required each cook to craft a show-stopping two-layer birthday cake. Anna (Millennial), held the Immunity Pin and chose Gen Z (with all five members remaining) to be tasked with mixing their cake by hand. Spoiler: The judges decided Anna (Millenial) from Dallas, and Geags (Baby Boomer) from Bradenton should leave the competition.

Mystery Box Challenge

The second show continued with the Mystery Box Challenge, where contestants were transported back to their childhoods through iconic nostalgic ingredients from their respective eras. Becca (Gen Z), as the previous challenge’s winner, assigned each generation their Mystery Box. Baby Boomers were given the Gen Z box, Millennials got the Baby Boomer box; Gen Z received the Millennial box; whilst Gen X kept their own box. Spoiler: The judges decided Christopher (Baby Boomer) from Hope should leave the competition.
