Season 9 of MasterChef Junior began with 12 young chefs seeking approval from judges Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sánchez, Daphne Oz, and Tilly Ramsay. In Monday’s grand finale, three talented kids competed intensely, cheered on by family and friends. The judges had declared the finalists evenly matched, heightening the competition.

After a season of exciting cooking challenges, 11-year-old Bryson McGlynn from Opelika, Alabama, was named the winner. He faced tough competition from 11-year-old Michael Seegobin from New Smyrna, Florida, and 10-year-old Remy Powell from Hollywood, Florida. Bryson impressed the judges with his culinary skills, food sense, and Southern charm, earning a trophy, kitchen appliances, gear, and a $100,000 prize.

Bryson kept true to his southern roots, winning over the judges with a three course meal consisting of a marinated red prawn appetizer, an entrée of wagyu filet mignon, and a peanut butter mousse crunch dessert.
